This was a vintage pattern I purchased
a few years ago.
I needed a dress to wear to a, Bat Mitzvah. I have never been to one before. I didn't want to be too dressed up or too casual. I had already done my alterations on this pattern, so I thought this would be a great one to wear. Sorry I didn't get a chance to take selfie.
I used ponteknit my favorite fabric. When I purchased the fabric the guy cut 1 yard instead of 1½. I had him just give me the ½. So I needed a pattern with a yoke. I created the back yoke because I didn't have enough fabric to make the dress one piece.
I decided to add the exposed zipper so it wouldn't look like a mistake. I wore this with my leopard pumps.
Very appropriate for the occasion.

Very creative fix to the fabric problem! Love those shoes. They go perfectly with the dress.
Thank you I used what I had. I collect shoes the way I collect fabric.Just go shop in the closet.
