We know how much I love animal print so I had to may my infamous 1 yard top from the leopard print McCall’s 6282 . You know I raved about this top a few months ago. I used Vogue 1119 for the black top. I love this pattern. I have never made the dress it looks to complicated to me. This pattern calls for you to cut the dress on a bias but I wanted to make the top a little longer. I found that if you use a light weight stretch fabric you don’t have to cut on the bias. The skirt is from a store bought vintage skirt that fit me very well so I took it apart and all my skirts are made from this pattern.I love it because it a pencil skirt and I am so short but it works for me.
The multi-color top is a stretch silk. I used McCall’s 5671. I think I picked this piece up for 1.99 a yard. I have had it in my stash for a few years now and felt since, I was going to Miami it was appropriate because it’s all about color down there. I also made 2 pair straight leg pants in black and beige. I have a confession to make. I only wore shorts, swimsuit, sarong and the leopard top. It was that kind of trip.............................

I love these garments you made for your trip. The black top and print skirt look fabulous. (Confessions here too. I also love animal prints.) Shame you didn't get to wear everything but I'm sure there will be other occasions to wear them. I totally get that kind of holiday it's like that in Summer here at our beach house. One fancy outfit usually does it.
