Were the instructions easy to follow?The knot threw me off a bit
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like that the dress it self was easy. I disliked the pleats on the shoulder. I also didn't like the extended shoulders.
Fabric Used:Ponte Knit
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I cut the 12 but added in the bodice for the girls. I didn't use the bias as I wanted this to not be an all day event. And because I was using Ponte I didn't line the dress.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes I would sew it again. And I would recommend to others. When I make this dress again, I will omit the pleats on the shoulders. And the neck line is rather large so I could have omitted the split in the back for the neckline. I could have pull the dress over my head. The shoulders on the pattern are oversized. The next dress will not be oversized in the shoulders. I will also make the sleeves 3/4 or short sleeves. And I will use a darker color like red or blue.
Conclusion: I have had this pattern since it came out. It called for 2 1/4 yards of fabric. I normally only buy 2 yards for dresses (because I never know what I am going to make). I looked at the guide sheet on this 8 times or more but still couldn't get the knot correct. Then it was like a light bulb going off it was so easy. All I can say is don't get discouraged. Once you get it you got it.
