BUTTERICK-5257 JACKET, BELT, SKIRT AND PANTS

Fitted, lined jacket has shawl collar, princess seams, double-breasted front opening with button closure or snap closures, left collar may be rolled higher or closer to neck to create a mock asymmetrical effect.

I used a double faced wool gabardine. Instead of snap closure I made button closure. The only thing I did not like about this pattern is the length of the jacket. Its short. I am a  petite so I have to shorten everything. I did not shorten this jacket and its too short for me. If I make it again, which I probably won't, I must remember to add at least 2 inches to the jacket. 

Life In Full Circle

Ok my big brother was in town this weekend he brought about 200 of our childhood pictures. I figured out that I have been into fashion\sewing long before it was fashionable. This is a picture is of me when I was 14. The outfit was made by me. I had a really good knack for sewing then. Notice that the vest is lined. Don't laugh about the nickers after all they were in style back in the day, like the boyfriend jacket is today. BTW I made big brothers shirt too. He thought he was Hendrix back then we all did!!!!!
